LGBTQ+ people on average, and trans people in specific, experience housing insecurity at higher rates than their cishet peers. They also may experience discrimination or even violence at shelters or while obtaining resources. Even when given shelter, many are often not provided the tools to become self-sufficient, including obtaining employment, education, or permanent housing. 

NETS's mission is to build social and economic resilience for the trans* community by providing transitional housing, hosting community events, and building a mutual support network. 

Your donation enables us to:

• Provide low-to-no-rent transitional housing to trans people in need, especially those fleeing places with transphobic legislation.

• Connect those people to critical resources such as financial literacy classes, professional development, and assistance transitioning medically and legally.

• Hosting events that help the entire trans community, such as clothing swaps, social nights, and skills workshops.
